What’s the difference between choosing joy and finding joy? The finding often needs to happen first. It’s hard to choose something you can’t see. Finding joy during tough times can be especially hard. Like right now. I’ve got the flu, my brain fog makes writing laughable, co-pays on everything have doubled, can’t work and I don’t have sick days. I’m obviously not happy but where’s the joy to be found in this?
We always feel happy when things are going well. But it can be hard to find joy when life gets tough, especially in a world where joy has become interchangeable with happiness.
