Finding The Way Everlasting
Self-examination is something we often avoid. It’s easier to focus on the things outside of us, but true growth comes when we look within. The Apostle Paul knew this. He told the Corinthians to examine themselves before taking the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:28). He also urged them to check their faith (2 Corinthians 13:5). John Calvin once said, “True wisdom begins with knowing God and knowing ourselves” (Institutes, Bk1, Ch1). This wisdom is not just about learning facts. It’s about understanding who we are in the light of who God is.
