Taste and see that the Lord is good
Psalm 34 invites us to celebrate God’s goodness with open hearts. David begins with a resolution: “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” No matter the season, David’s words remind us to keep praising God. When we do, our hearts change. Life’s troubles may stay, but our outlook shifts towards God’s perspective. As Charles Spurgeon said, “It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness.”
