When You Feel Rejected by Those Closest to You

As Christians, we shouldn’t be surprised when we face hostility or rejection from the world. Jesus says we should expect that people may sometimes hate us, exclude us, insult us, and label us simply because we belong to Him. This rejection isn’t just from individuals - it can come from institutions and people in power who oppose the truth of the gospel.

Following Jesus comes with a cost, and sometimes that cost hits us where it hurts most: in our relationships with family and friends. This kind of rejection can be painful. People may twist your words, challenge your faith, and try to make you look like you’re the one in the wrong.
