A Little Secret About Forgiveness

Nothing darkens our hearts more quickly than the inability to forgive, often called holding a grudge. Holding a grudge is like letting a single bee sting us to death rather than enduring the sting of smashing the bee while it’s stinger is in us.

But there's a flip side to this. Forgiving someone can bring us joy and peace faster than almost anything else. It’s like a breath of fresh air for our souls. When we forgive, we show that we are truly children of God. Jesus Himself says in Luke 6:35 that God is kind even to the ungrateful and wicked. When we forgive, we are reflecting that kindness.
